Santa Rosa Electrician: One of Five Tips to Cool Your House for the Summer

First, a disclaimer: Santa Rosa electrician APG Electric & Solar Co. doesn’t install these things but recommend them all the time to our customers. It’s a reasonably-priced way to make your house more comfortable.

We like to help our customers make their homes more comfortable and safe for the summer.

Fact: attics can get as hot as 180F on a hot day. Attic fans (not whole house fans) can trim 20-30 degrees off of that and make your house more comfortable.

See Naturalight Solar, Inc. in Larkfield area for these units. Reliable, simple and they install them quickly for under $500 per unit. No roof leaks, no wires and, best of all, no electrical work. They do the installation from the roof and don’t have to get in the attic!

If you have an electric attic fan that’s working, leave it. If it’s not working, don’t bother trying to replace it or its motor with another electric unit: it’s just not worth it in our opinion.
